About the Southeast Regional Hub The Familia Adelante Southeast Regional Hub is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is coordinated by the Greater Piedmont Community Resilience (GPCR) division of our long standing partner, Center for Prevention Services (CPS). Since 1971, CPS has been a leader in training, technical assistance, prevention, and early intervention services, proudly supporting youth and families in Cabarrus, Davidson, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, and Union counties. With six years of experience implementing Familia Adelante, CPS currently has 50 trained facilitators and continues to expand its reach. The Southeast Regional Hub will provide training and support services across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, and Georgia. Our journey with Familia Adelante began in 2020 through NNEDLearn, a national training initiative hosted by SAMHSA’s National Network to Eliminate Disparities in Behavioral Health. Our team was selected to participate in this evidence based curriculum and traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico for an immersive learning experience. Despite the challenges of the COVID 19 pandemic, we launched our first virtual cohort in 2021 through school based referrals. Since then, we have steadily expanded our capacity. In 2023, we completed an additional Training of Trainers, strengthening our facilitator network and transitioning into hybrid program delivery in partnership with community health promoters. In 2024 and 2025, with support from Mecklenburg County REC CAST II and other local funding, we hosted in person trainings with Dr. Cervantes, preparing more than 25 facilitators. In 2025 alone, we implemented 11 cohorts across Mecklenburg County, allowing us to compensate facilitators and ensure high quality program delivery.
