Training Overview for Familia Adelante Program Training can be offered onsite or at the Los Angeles headquarters based on organizational needs. Teams will attend a 2-day training at their local site, led by two master trainers. Internet and LCD projectors are required, though LCDs can be supplied upon request. The training employs a combination of didactic and practical learning techniques. Learning Objectives Participants will: • Gain knowledge about risk and protective factors in the Latino community related to substance use and behavioral problems. • Learn the underlying stress theory and research basis for Familia Adelante. • Acquire skills in implementing the 12-week Familia Adelante curricula for youth and parents. • Understand Familia Adelante's fidelity monitoring and outcome evaluation procedures. • Develop a site-specific implementation, supervision, and fidelity monitoring plan for Familia Adelante. Implementation After the onsite training phase, teams will receive ongoing coaching support. Team members will: • Participate in up to 4 post-training webinars led by Familia Adelante trainers.
